It was definitely one of those head banging moments, after all, I’d spent years in corporate delivering THOUSANDS of sales presentations.
But getting to that point didn’t come easily for me…
I was a shy kid. Afraid to speak to anyone. Nevermind stand in front of a room delivering a presentation.
Even in college as a Speech Communication major, I was afraid to stand up and speak.
It wasn’t until I took a job as a Tour Guide and delivered hundreds of tours to 50 guests at a time that I finally overcame my nerves and felt comfortable speaking.
But when I started working in corporate delivering sales presentations, speaking to audiences of hundreds, I finally found the power of speaking.
Getting up and delivering a sales presentation was like second nature to me.
So…one day after cashing in the coins I’d found in our living room sofa, I decided I’d put my speaking and sales ability to good use in my business.
I hunkered down and designed a signature talk that I could use specifically to generate leads and attract more paying clients.
During that time I put almost all of my other marketing on hold and focused mainly on delivering a presentation to attract clients.
Lo and behold, after delivering it just once I got three new clients.
Within one month I made $10,000.
Within a few months, I’d filled my practice and, not long after that, I had my first $40,000 month. Less than 12 months later, I’d made it to 6-figures.
